A creative environment designed to facilitate workshops using play to uncover new perspectives for problem solving. The hub houses 13 classrooms (25m²), 3 workspaces (80m²), a large auditorium (200m²) and an open courtyard for outdoor activities. Parking for 22 vehicles is available underground and is accessed through the alley.
The classroom and workspaces are meant to be modular to accommodate the needs of the workshops within them with retractable walls. The open courtyard bellow gives back to the community and encourages public interaction at all times of the day.
The site for the project is located on the northwest corner of Broughton and Robson in the west end of the City of Vancouver. This corner is a relatively large vacant lot, with a significant topography, and along the very active Robson Street corridor. It has a history, and a lively daily life flows by it.
